Our Journey and inspiration
Our Journey So Far
'Aranyer Alo' was officially established on 15th August, 2016 with very limited resources. We built a center in Bakadaha village, 35KM away from Jayrambati's SRI SRI Sarada Maa's Ashram. We started motivating and encouraging mothers in different villages so that they send their kids to our center for proper education. Along with providing education, we also provide all the very basic need of these kids like regular meal, garments, books, notebook, pen-pencil etc. Please note, all these kids are the first generation school goer of their entire community. Can you imagine !!
At 'Aranyer Alo' education system is based on the way that was showed by Swami Vivekananda. Hence, along with regular curriculum, discipline, manners & etiquette, drawing, sports are also learning activities to our kids so that they can grow as a responsible citizen of mother India.
Winning the Trust of Tribal People had been a Real Challenge
Urban educated people are like alien to tribal people living here in Bakadaha. They do not trust outsiders. This Tribal people never get a chance to interact anyone outside their community. So when we approach to this tribal mothers to send their kids to us for education, they did not approve this very easily. At the very beginning, they took us as child lifter. So winning their trust was a tough process. Our Volunteers tirelessly worked during that initial days to win back the confidence of these tribal people. Today 'Aranyer Alo' is no more alien to them. This center has become a dreamland for these kids and a ray of hope for their parents.
Our Mission, Vision and Values
Mission: Providing education to underprivileged children so that they also get a chance to become an educated, responsible citizen of tomorrow. But basic needs like regular food, proper clothing etc are also not available to them. Hence we take care of those basis needs as well so that they can focus on their education only.
Vision: We dream a society where every child should get a chance to grow as a independent, responsible citizen. Education to all is the only way to built a society like that. At 'Aranyer Alo', we try to ensure a free favorable world for these kids for spontaneous growth of their mindset so they can grow as independent, confident and responsible for tomorrow.
Values: Our values are based on the way shown by Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji told, "It is a privilege to serve mankind, for this is the worship of God. God is here, in all these human souls. He is the soul of man". So we never think we are doing a charity, we treat our activity as a service to God. We are immensely grateful to God because HE has given us the strength to help others.
Our Dedicated Team
To run a system smoothly, a dedicated, hardworking team is essential. From maintaining the center, cooking for the kids, managing and organizing entire activities, financial accounting, future planning, arranging resources and teaching the kids everything require manpower. By God's grace, we have been able to build a dedicated, hardworking and most importantly compassionate team who are working tirelessly to support 'Aranyer Alo'. Our team is comprised of both local tribal people and urban people. Every team member is contributing to this cause beside their own commitments, family. Hence, we salute to all our team members.
